Expirement 1
This clinical laboratory test, performed at a major US academic medical center, is to get a measure of antiseptic activity.
- The image to the right uses rapidly growing Staphylococus epidermidis 12228 from a 24 hr. 35ml colombia broth bottle.
- 100ul of Bacteria were loaded in a tray in wells in column 2 (B).
- 100ul of antiseptic (“AromaClenz) from column 1 (S) was added into column 2 (B) with mixing.
- Serial dilutions 1:3, 1:9, 1:27 were made in TSB media after 1 minute of exposure to antiseptic.
- Serial dilutions 1:3, 1:9, 1:27 after 10 minutes of exposure.
Growth was photographed at 24 hr.

Results

Result:
- Bacterial growth is evident in all wells for the Placebo controls (top 2 rows).
- AromaClenz was inhibitory at 1:3, 1:9 and 1:27 (less growth by eyeball than Placebo wells) and these cells appeared to be dead (bacteriocidal) since no subsequent dilution wells grew.
Conclusion:
- Compared to "Placebo", AromaClenz inhibited bacterial growth.
- The bacteriocidal activity was successful, killing approximately one hundred million bacterial cells in one minute.
- AromaClenz is rapidly bacteriocidal (kills bacteria).
